As Founder, Chairman, and CEO, Dr. Huang oversees Orbbec’s global operations and strategy in 3D optical measurement technology. With over 20 years of expertise in optical measurement—including 10 years in academic research and 10 years in industry applications—Dr. Huang founded Orbbec in 2013 and successfully led the company to IPO in 2022, making it “China’s First 3D Vision Stock.” 

Under his leadership, Orbbec has established itself as a leader in 3D vision solutions. Dr. Huang’s internationally recognized expertise stems from his academic foundation at Peking University and postdoctoral research at MIT’s SMART Research Center, where he advanced cutting-edge optical measurement techniques. 

Dr. Huang has published over 20 articles and continues to bridge sophisticated research with practical applications in 3D vision technology.

As Vice President of Sales, Mr. McSweeney leads Orbbec’s global sales organization and channel partnerships. Since joining Orbbec, Mr. McSweeney has leveraged his 18 years of experience in high-tech storage solutions to drive cross-functional sales teams and establish key customer relationships. 

His proven track record includes successful management of both distribution channels and complex OEM partnerships, delivering consistent sales results across diverse market segments. 

Prior to joining Orbbec, Mr. McSweeney held leadership positions at Intel and Seagate, where he developed expertise in managing some of the world’s largest and most complex technology partnerships.

As President of Operations USA, Mr. Wei leads Orbbec’s American operations and oversees strategic business development initiatives. Mr. Wei brings over 25 years of experience in international B2B technology businesses, with expertise spanning mobile, systems, and consumer electronics ecosystems.

His leadership has been instrumental in cultivating relationships with major technology customers including Verizon, Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and Samsung, driving significant revenue growth through innovative product strategies. Prior to joining Orbbec, Mr. Wei gained extensive M&A experience within technology supply ecosystems and developed expertise in market entry strategies for complex B2B partnerships. 

Mr. Wei holds an EMBA from Peking University and completed advanced engineering programs at Stanford University.

Amit is building a platform to democratize 3D vision with high performance, programmable cameras coupled with AI and cloud.

Based in the Bay Area, CA, he works with a strong ecosystem and drives innovative use of 3D vision and AI in robotics, manufacturing, logistics, healthtech and fitness industries.

With a Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics specializing in optical measurement systems, David cofounded Orbbec in 2009 and has grown the company to be a trusted global brand in 3D vision technology solutions.

Based in Troy, MI, he oversees the company’s global operations.
