The partnership aims to provide customers worldwide with integrated and scalable industrial 3D vision solutions for demanding automation tasks in robotics and logistics. The collaboration goes beyond a traditional distribution model. By combining Orbbec’s proprietary chip-level depth sensing technology and in-house manufacturing capabilities with Basler’s expertise in industrial vision, system integration, and global go-to-market, customers benefit from clearly defined, tested, and long-term available solutions within an established industrial ecosystem.

Basler’s Stereo Mini Product Line

The first concrete outcome of the collaboration is Basler’s Stereo mini product line, launched at LogiMAT 2026. Stereo mini delivers a stereo-based 3D vision system from a single source – including camera hardware, tested configurations and accessories, documentation, and integration into the Basler pylon SDK. The system is designed for perception tasks in logistics and automation, including navigation, obstacle detection, and general robotics applications.

“Basler’s industrial expertise and global presence make them the right partner for scaling 3D vision in demanding automation markets,” said Mike McSweeney, Vice President of Sales at Orbbec. “By combining Orbbec’s depth sensing technology with Basler’s industrial software platform and integration capabilities, this partnership enables stereo-based 3D vision solutions with reduced integration effort and long-term security.”

René von Fintel, Executive Director Business Management at Basler AG, explains:

“With Orbbec as our technology partner, we are specifically strengthening our 3D portfolio. With the Basler Stereo mini camera, we are expanding our range of solutions in the field of navigation, obstacle detection, and environment mapping for autonomous mobile robots. The Basler Stereo Mini is also well suited for general 3D applications where price-performance and small size are important factors.”

Visitors to LogiMAT 2026 can experience the Stereo mini product line at the Basler booth ES36, Entrance East, between Halls 1 and 2. Further joint developments are planned as the collaboration continues to evolve.
