On August 18, Orbbec and Linkerbot, a global leader in dexterous robotic hands, announced a strategic partnership to co-develop benchmark “eye-hand coordination” products and solutions — advancing visual perception and dexterous manipulation from standalone capabilities toward deep integration, and accelerating the real-world deployment of embodied AI.
As embodied AI moves from the laboratory toward industry, vision and dexterous manipulation—the “eyes” and “hands” of robots—have become the two essential capabilities robots cannot do without in real-world deployment: robotics vision provides reliable 3D data for environmental understanding and spatial perception, while dexterous hands complete manipulation tasks and generate real-machine data.
