Orbbec Unveils Latest 3D Vision Solutions at CES 2025

Share

Orbbec, a leader in robotic and AI vision technology, showcased its latest innovations at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025. The company unveiled its highly anticipated new products—the Gemini 215 Stereo 3D Camera—at its exclusive private showroom. Invited visitors had the opportunity to experience Orbbec’s flagship product lines firsthand and gain insights into the latest developments in ODM and OEM service solutions.

CES 2025, themed “AI Everywhere,” is the premier global event for consumer electronics, highlighting the pervasive application of artificial intelligence across various industries. The event attracts nearly 140,000 attendees from over 160 countries. Orbbec’s private showroom served as a hub for professionals from intelligent robotics, 3D scanning, and the broader 3D vision sector to explore innovative applications, discuss collaboration opportunities, and engage with cutting-edge technologies.

Showcasing High-Performance, Cost-Effective Solutions

Orbbec launched the Gemini 215, a new addition to its stereo vision Gemini series, on Day 1 of CES. Designed specifically for high-precision, short-range 3D scanning applications, the Gemini 215 excels in tasks such as foot morphology scanning, facial recognition, and detailed capture of small objects. Its superior quality, user-friendly design, and compatibility address the needs of enterprise users for rapid implementation.

Gemini 215

Powered by Orbbec’s custom ASIC MX6600, the Gemini 215 features a patented high-performance optical system. This advanced camera integrates multiple sensors, including a depth camera, stereo vision cameras, RGB sensors, and a high-performance IMU. “Within a 30-centimeter range from the target object, the Gemini 215 achieves depth measurement precision of less than 0.5 millimeters, a resolution of up to 0.16 millimeters, and processes data at 30 frames per second. This ensures precise and efficient scanning and measurement,” explained Brad Suessmith, the robotics sales manager at Orbbec.

Additionally, the Gemini 215 boasts a lightweight design, extensive connectivity options, and comprehensive functionality. It offers pre-configured distance modes supporting a working range of 15 to 70 centimeters and features multi-camera hardware and millisecond-level image synchronization, ideal for applications requiring low-cost, lightweight, and high-precision scanning solutions.
