Recently, Orbbec and PsiBot, a leading embodied intelligence company, announced a strategic partnership. Focusing on real-world data acquisition needs, the two companies will jointly develop an integrated hardware-software data collection solution to help accelerate the deployment of physical AI applications.
As an innovative technology company focused on embodied intelligence models and dexterous manipulation challenges, PsiBot continues to strengthen its high-quality data foundation to support model training and iteration. Its self-developed Psi-SynEngine embodied data collection engine enables the cost-effective acquisition of large-scale, high-quality real-world scenario data, and has completed small-scale validation in real-world logistics warehouse scenarios, achieving significant improvements in sorting efficiency. Previously, Orbbec and PsiBot had already collaborated in areas including camera modules and manufacturing services.
Under this strategic partnership, the two companies will further integrate Orbbec’s Robot-Free Data Collection Hardware Platform with PsiBot’s intelligent data collection platform, strengthening hardware-software collaboration and covering the full workflow from front-end data collection to back-end data management and applications. Together, they aim to provide customers with comprehensive and efficient data collection solutions.
Meanwhile, both parties will jointly advance global market expansion and ecosystem development, promoting the large-scale adoption of the data collection solution across the global physical AI industry. Further, the two companies will explore co-development of data collection hardware and Contract Manufacturing (CM) collaborations, while deepening collaboration in advanced technology development and data collection standards. Through coordinated efforts across technology, products, and standards, the partnership aims to support the development of physical AI data infrastructure.
